Adem Ljajić (born September 29, 1991) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for FK Novi Pazar. He has also represented the Serbia national team, earning 47 caps and scoring 9 goals.
Early Life and Career
Adem Ljajić was born in Novi Pazar, Yugoslavia (now Serbia). He began his football career with FK Jošanica before joining the youth academy of FK Partizan in 2005. Ljajić made his professional debut for Partizan in 2008 and quickly established himself as a talented midfielder.
Club Career
- Partizan Belgrade: Ljajić played for Partizan from 2008 to 2010, making 57 appearances and scoring 12 goals. He helped the team win the Serbian SuperLiga and the Serbian Cup.
- Fiorentina: In January 2010, Ljajić joined Fiorentina in Italy, where he played until 2013. He made 88 appearances and scored 16 goals for the club.
- AS Roma: Ljajić signed with AS Roma in 2013 and played for the club until 2016, making 74 appearances and scoring 15 goals. He was loaned to Inter Milan for the 2015-2016 season, where he scored 4 goals in 28 appearances.
- Torino: Ljajić joined Torino in 2016 and played for the club until 2019, making 65 appearances and scoring 18 goals. He was loaned to Beşiktaş for the 2018-2019 season, where he scored 9 goals in 32 appearances.
- Beşiktaş: Ljajić’s loan move to Beşiktaş was made permanent in 2019, and he played for the club until 2022, making 53 appearances and scoring 9 goals.
- Fatih Karagümrük: In 2023, Ljajić joined Fatih Karagümrük in Turkey, where he made 11 appearances.
- FK Novi Pazar: Ljajić returned to his hometown club, FK Novi Pazar, in 2023.
