Wiktoria “Viki” Gabor (born July 10, 2007) is a Polish singer who gained fame as a runner-up on the second season of The Voice Kids Poland and later won the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with her song “Superhero.” She is known for her powerful voice and dynamic performances.
Early Life
Viki Gabor was born in Hamburg, Germany, to a Polish Romani family. After her birth, her family moved back to Poland, then to the United Kingdom, and finally settled in Nowa Huta, Poland, when she was seven years old. She has an older sister named Melisa, who is a composer and songwriter.
Career
- The Voice Kids Poland: Viki participated in the auditions for the second season of The Voice Kids Poland in late 2018. She joined the team of Tomson & Baron and advanced to the finals, where she finished as the runner-up.
- Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019: Viki represented Poland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with her song “Superhero.” She won the competition, making Poland the first country to win the contest twice in a row.
- Music Releases: Since her victory at Junior Eurovision, Viki has released several singles, including “Ramię w ramię” with Kayah, “Getaway,” “Still Standing,” “Forever and a Night,” and “Not Gonna Get It.” Her debut album, Getaway (Into My Imagination), was released in September 2020.
