Adam Sandler was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Judy (née Levine), a nursery school teacher, and Stanley Sandler, an electrical engineer. Career

Sandler began his career as a stand-up comedian and gained national attention as a cast member on Saturday Night Live (SNL) from 1990 to 1995. His success on SNL led to a thriving film career, starting with roles in comedies such as Billy Madison (1995), Happy Gilmore (1996), and The Waterboy (1998).
