Overview Kristen Jaymes Stewart (born April 9, 1990) is an American actress, director, and screenwriter. She gained fame for her role as Bella Swan in the “Twilight” film series and has since established herself as a versatile and critically acclaimed actress.

Early Life Kristen Stewart was born in Los Angeles, California, to parents who both worked in the entertainment industry. Her father, John Stewart, is a television producer, and her mother, Jules Mann-Stewart, is a script supervisor and director. Stewart grew up in the San Fernando Valley and developed an interest in acting at a young age.

Career Stewart’s acting career began at the age of eight when she appeared in a minor role in the Disney Channel TV movie “The Thirteenth Year” (1999). She gained wider recognition for her role as Sarah Altman in David Fincher’s thriller “Panic Room” (2002), for which she received a Young Artist Award nomination.

In 2008, Stewart achieved international fame for her portrayal of Bella Swan in the “Twilight” film series, based on the novels by Stephenie Meyer. The series includes “Twilight” (2008), “New Moon” (2009), “Eclipse” (2010), “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” (2011), and “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” (2012).
