On April 5, 1994, Cobain was found dead at his home in Seattle, Washington, from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His death was ruled a suicide. Cobain’s death marked the end of Nirvana and left a lasting impact on the music world. He was 27 years old, joining the so-called “27 Club” of musicians who died at that age.
