Ross Shor Lynch (born December 29, 1995) is an American actor, singer, musician, and dancer. He gained fame as the lead vocalist of the pop rock band R5 and is currently one half of the band The Driver Era, alongside his brother Rocky Lynch. Ross is also known for his roles in Disney Channel’s “Austin & Ally” and the Netflix series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.”
Early Life and Background
Ross Lynch was born and raised in Littleton, Colorado. He is the fourth of five siblings, with three brothers (Riker, Rocky, and Ryland) and one sister (Rydel). Ross was homeschooled starting in the fourth grade, during which he learned to sing and play the guitar and piano. He is a second cousin of entertainers Derek Hough and Julianne Hough. In 2007, Ross and his family moved to Los Angeles to support his and his siblings’ burgeoning entertainment careers.
Acting Career
Ross Lynch began his acting career with appearances on television shows such as “So You Think You Can Dance” and “Moises Rules!” In 2011, he was cast as Austin Moon in the Disney Channel sitcom “Austin & Ally,” which became a major success and ran for four seasons until 2016. Ross also starred in Disney Channel’s musical films “Teen Beach Movie” (2013) and its sequel “Teen Beach 2” (2015). In 2017, he portrayed a teenage Jeffrey Dahmer in the biopic “My Friend Dahmer.” From 2018 to 2020, Ross played Harvey Kinkle in the Netflix series “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”.
