2024 Rose Bowl Performance Smith’s standout performance came during the 2024 Rose Bowl, where Ohio State faced the Oregon Ducks in the College Football Playoff quarterfinals. Smith caught seven passes for 187 yards and two touchdowns, helping the Buckeyes secure a dominant 41-21 victory. His performance set a Big Ten freshman receiving record and solidified his reputation as one of the top wide receivers in college football.
